Subject: Al Wilson - The Snake - 1968

Probably because it didn't chart great, but not bad, can't say I have heard this before. It's a Johnny Rivers' production for his Johnny's - Soul City Records label. Seems Johnny focused on Soul music for some reason! Al, here, sounds a bit like Lou Rawls! Beginning similar to Van Morrison's "Wild Night". I tweaked the recording, a bit "thin" sounding on CD!..
