Bob asked: Can I have your top 10 all time faves?

Okay, don't take this personally, but everyone east to west is doing countdowns, even the cooperate stations - Top 10, Top 100, Top 1000. Later (in e-mail) I'm asked to select my top 10 favorite oldies from the 50's and 60's. In the e-mail it states "And we all know the best music is from the 50's and 60's!!!". I replied that that was their opinion, not mine, and further wrote, "I like all music, not "oldies" per se'". I don't like categorizing music into what is and isn't an "oldie". When I told WOGL is was good that they dropped their use of "Oldies Station" phrase; their ratings improved, and the CBS person complimented/agreed with me.

You play a well balanced list of songs. But for me, after about Top 30, I begin to lose memory of previously hearing those songs, let alone like them.

Anyway, to answer your question, I don't have any top favorite songs. Each and everyone I do enjoy has something unique about it. But if it's stereo, there's beyond a 50% chance I'll like it! :-)

Thanks, Bob, for allowing me to add my long winded gibberish to your fine board!

Take care.

Best,
John
