Would have been clever have a record company behind the big radio station promoting all the records! Payola was probably yet to come!

I don't think Billboard is to blame for the common songs on radio today, or lack of - more a marketing strategy thing, I feel. I have no faith in who is the most popular station in and around Philly. Arbitron - questionable.
