In fact, there are over 400 examples of doubles (two songs charting nationally, siultaneously - I just could not list them all). Secondly, all charted in the USA nationally - they were not regional breakouts and they were not oveseas entries. Thirdly, there are lots of examples from the 1970's and later but as I mentioned to John, the reason they happened in the earlier years in greater numbers, was the "compulsory licence" regulations. |
