Subject: RE: The Innocents and Sandy Nelson

Message Detail:
Sandy Nelson was a Los Angeles session musician for many years before he charted with "Teen Beat" in 1959.

As you say, he was never a member of the Innocents, but he played drums on a number of their three 1960 hits including "Gee Whiz" and "A Thousand Stars".

He also played drums on "Alley Oop", "To Know Him Is To Love Him" etc.
