As long as the big corporations continue to run radio, the answer is a big NO! A good example is here in my area, where the only oldies station was rated #5 in the market out of probably 25 stations. So what did the suits do? They decided that the demographics was too old, so they retooled the station to a format of 70's and 80's, but no jocks, i.e, no personality. The station quickly dropped in the ratings big time. Meanwhile, the only local non-corporate station went to a 60's-80's format, hired some former local jocks, ugraded their equipment, and later put the 50's and 60's oldies format on their second HD station, and their ratings continue to climb. Go figure...lol
