Subject: RE: Mr. Elvis Presley - I Beg Of You - 1958

Message Detail:
SPARS(?) Code - AAD, ADD and DDD. One thing I realized, if AAD, (tape) hiss noise wasn't removed, even by the big boy record companies! Probably because Digital processing wasn't incorporated in studios where the tape tracks were remixed, remastered, etc., for CD.

The Doors songs were, I think, to first go under elaborate noise reduction, and the digital sound sounded great even on LP. More impressive sound than their original LPs! I can tell Analog(ue) recording consoles were used to mix some (CD) songs, because I can hear dirty/worn console mixing controls; like static from a dirty volume control! I like taking some of these early, popular songs, and remove noise and enhance the stereo sound; right at home, something they couldn't do (easily) when it was initially published on CD. The Elvis song is from a AAD 1988 CD.

Best,
John
