This seem odd. I say so because on their debut singles they were billed as only Dawn. At first, Tony Orlando did not want his name associated with the group. Dawn was the name of the daughter of the Token's lead singer Jay Siegel, who was a background singer on Candida, along with two studio background singers, not the two that would eventually be the "Dawn" of the group, Thelma Hopkins and Joyce Wilson. They needed a "group name" to put on the label, so it was named Dawn. Perhaps this is some knockoff album that found it's way to the dollar store?IT was only after the group became popular after those inital hits that they divulged who the lead singer was, and the group then became known as Tony Orlando and Dawn.
