As you know, I'm always thrilled to let you hear what I find. I know Bob, our nice host, is a big fan of stereo, like myself. So, yesterday, I hit rock bottom and found an "original" unreleased Brady Bunch theme, in stereo, on one of their CDs, from 1993. Sadly, no recording date, musicians, etc., are mentioned. Guess it may have been intended to replace the original '60's theme for their 1970 ABC TV, second season, or on a 1972 episode that featured them singing... I have to admit, the Brady Bunch kids really tried hard to break into Pop charted music, recording lots of songs, for various record labels (LPs and 45s), but never made it, as a group, duo or solo, even into the late '70's, with producer, Mike Post. Florence Henderson participated in singing for their six episode, 1976, the Brady Bunch Variety Hour. One or more of their LPs featured back-up vocalists who also sang on The Partridge Family's LPs. Hey, Bob, promotional tapes were sent to radio station personnel throughout the country to promote their January, 14, 1972 TV episode that featured their singing. While I have the spoken intro and outro, I'm not sure what song was promoted. Maybe you can find out someday. Thanks! Best, |
