John asked Why did Carl quit music? Jim replied... I saw him about ten years ago with Buddy Knox touring Europe - I guess he would be near 70 now - but although there is a CD on release right now by him - he does not seem to have had a record contract in years. Couple of hits between 1959 and 1960 - and after that, the chart action sort of disappeared, but he kept working - almost ever rock act I ever interviewed seemed to have worked with him somewhere or other. |
