I take exception to this........ what about "Theme from A Summer Place"; "Wheels"; "Guitar Boogie Shuffle"?; "Last Date"; "Bonanza"; "The Stripper" and on and on.....

LOTS of good instrumentals back then. Hey! I bought them!! You played them, have you no appreciation?
