Also known as "re-channeled" stereo.
These Dolby 5.1 surround sound encoders do a pretty nice job of "fake", but real sounding stereo!! I have nothing hard against Monophonic. It's just when in Stereo, the song comes to life. Guess why RCA named it "Living Stereo"!
