Message Detail:
As we mark another day of giving thanks to the Lord from whom all blessings flow, I would like to thank each and every one of you for coming to Ultimate Oldies Radio. Whether you've just discovered the site or you've been a part of things around here for awhile...you are sincerely appreciated and considered to be family. I'm happy that this site exists, and I have to give Christ all the credit for making it possible.

Since we're a place for memories...may we look back at the good times with joy, and trust that He will take the not so good times and turn them into good as only He can.

Along those lines, I hope you'll allow me to offer a personal statement of encouragement for those to whom it may apply.

The Holidays can be hard for people. Losing loved ones, a marriage breakup, debilitating illness, a job loss, or any other setback that plunges a person into sadness. The short days and long nights can also be an adversary if we allow them to be.

Please take hope. The Lord understands. Cry if you must, rage, even question Him as to why. He has BIG shoulders. It is better to talk to Him than to turn away.

He can offer you peace through the midst of the storm, comfort through the pain, and best of all...hope for today and tomorrow through His Son Jesus Christ...who as God in the flesh, having no sin...went to the cruel cross and died for you and me.

There is hope in Him!

If you are dealing with a downer...don't sit around. Take a walk, call a friend, write a letter, sing, pray, encourage someone else, and if you can...laugh. The sun is always shining...or shall we say...the Son is always shining!

Switching topics, we'll do our best to upgrade the site, provide better programs, and in general...have fun in the days to come.
Sometimes we're a little slow, plodding if you will, but we keep at it and eventually find a way to get it done.

Webmaster Jimmy Williams will be 77 years old in January. He has built one of the most intricate oldies sites anywhere. Jimmy is a remarkable man, and I'm thankful for him. He doesn't read the forum much, so when you can...drop him a line at jimmyw@netvaluemall.com. He'd appreciate that.

Therefore...please enjoy the weekend...and the season to follow!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Bob
