Subject: Off Topic Trivia - Guess The Film

Message Detail:
Here's some hints:

The New York Times initially wrote "... color is hard on the eyes for so long a picture", for this Technicolor film.

Initially, The New York Times wrote a three column review, but mentioned nothing about the music!

In 1961, the music score was re-recorded and approved by the composer.

The MGM re-released film was later enlarged for 70mm screens (2.75 inches, huh? Guess twice 35mm standard, for Widesceen), with a True Stereo soundtrack. Afterwards, The New York Times gave it another look and listen and enjoyed the refreshing six track soundtrack.

Soundtrack produced for Audio CD by Rod McKuen, on or about 1988!

I initially thought the CD was defective, only having two tracks!

Below, a snippet - one of the segments I remember. Found this in the CD budget bin, crying for me to take it home!

There you go, guess the film! Good luck!

Best,
John
