John wrote... Hopefully, the deceased Coasters fans will remember this. Jim writes Well I am a Coasters fan, and I do remember this, but I am not deceased. (Well as far as I know, although sometimes - as my wife kees telling me - it is hard to tell). Whether deceased Coasters fans will recall it is a moot point, but you never know! Actually, I had no idea this was in stereo. I do hope you are not out breaking into Atlantic Records late at night to bring us these gems! Incidentally, do you remember the Elvis version of this? It would have come out a few years after this - it was in a Presley film - could have been "Roustabout". Great Leiber/Stoller song - they penned "Young Blood" "Searchin'" and "Yakety Yak" for the Coasters, as well as "Jailhouse Rock" and "Don't" for Elvis and lots of other hits including "Stand By Be" with Ben E King. Far too much talent for just two people! |
