Good point! I guess, you can mass produce electronics to drive down cost, but you can't mass produce hit recordings? However, current music should cost a LOT less to produce than in the past. No more large orchestras, no more studio musicians, no more horn players, just a keyboard should do the trick.

I seem to recall the very first 45 I bought, in 1970, was $1.00. Interesting point; I'll have to check on 45 prices of the past!
