I'm guessing the Brunswick that still exists is the one who features mostly, if not exclusively, all black artists, at least, on CD. If so, I have yet to "hear" anything unusual come from the label. And the many who license songs, they all sound the same, which I find a bit odd. Nothing *new* at all! I guess everyone gets the same "stuff". I even e-mailed Brunswick with a suggestion, but no reply, after I discovered that early Jackie Wilson "baby Workout" take, not offered by Brunswick! Ah, well! Thanks for the info! From the other post, didn't know FM went back that far!!! Laughingly, I thought, as well as others, that FM made its debut in the late '60's to early '70's, but I guess that's when FM Stereo hit the airwaves, giving AM broadcasters a real reason to switch!! Odd name - Panatrope! Sounds like something from the reptile family. Man bitten by a large Panatrope, but survived! :-) Best, |
