Hi Jim! You wrote: Although Vincent recorded stereo masters, he rarely put anything out in stereo - even the first few CDs he released thirty years later, were still in mono! Sounds like another Atlantic Records! With them, at least, I discovered they could record multi-track, for stereo, but could not mix it! I assume you're talking about Johnny Vincent. Yeah, his health was failing, in 1996. He wanted to have "one more hit" before he passed. However, Kent (divison of Ace UK) issued the Ace Records (US) stuff, on CD. Is Ace (UK) a division of Demon? You also wrote: Vincent died in 2000 - still working and still recording new acts. What was he going to put them on, Edison cylinders? :-) Trunk tapes? Yeah, this Jimmy Angel also used "The Huey Smith Band" to record Sea Cruise. Quite a talker Johhny Vincent was, was he? Why does this come as no surprise, being a Producer.
Best, p.s. Have a rejected stereo version of Rhythm Of The Rain, by The Cascades, on me...
