No need to reply to this, Jim, just rambling... I'm currently on a Rolling Stones stereo kick. This was after I read that the current holder of their London Records recordings (my favorites) is (or was) issuing their recordings in monophonic or fake stereo. Some of it sounds really bad, played on local radio stations, even HD Radio! So, I went searching and I found an eBay CD that had all their recordings, or most of them, in Stereo. A Bootleg, I'm sure. Even with a bid of $99 USD, I lost the auction! Is stereo in demand? Hmmm? I didn't get that one, but did get a Decca Records (promo only) CD with some Stereo and other oddities! With what I learned, and my crude methods (software), I'm going to try to make the recordings sound decent. Some do sound a bit "empty", in stereo! Here's 1965's London Records "Satisfaction"... |
