Message Detail:
All,

Hi!

Hope everyone is doing well.

This is a short review of the Wednesday February 25, 2009 Top 40 Classics - The Classic 45's You Grew Up With Show hosted by Dr. Johnny P. LoveTrain.

Great Show!

8:00 P. M. EST - 9:00 P. M. EST

Olivia Newton - John and Andy Gibb started the show with a 4 play (Olivia and Andy duet from " Solid Gold ", 1 song by Olivia and 2 tunes by Andy).

The 3 Of A Kind feature was also presented.

The main idea of this feature is that listener tries to figure out how each of the 3 songs played are related to each other.

The first listener to E - Mail Dr. Johnny with the correct answer, will get a " Shout - Out " on the air!

The songs played were:

Blue On Blue - Bobby Vinton - 1963
Tie A Yellow Ribbon Ribbon Round The Ole Oak Tree - Tony Orlando And Dawn - 1973
Mr. Blue Sky - Electric Light Orchestra - 1978

The answer of how these 3 songs are connected with each other is:

The titles contain a color OR if you combine Blue and Yellow, the result is Green.

The following were some of the oldies that were played during this hour:

My Maria - B. W. Stevenson - 1973
And The Beat Goes On - The Whispers - 1980
Handy Man - Jimmy Jones - 1960

9:00 P. M. EST - 10:00 P. M. EST

This hour started with his Original / Remake feature and played the song, " How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You) " by both

Marvin Gaye - 1964 - 1965 - - - - Original Version
James Taylor - 1975 - - - - Remake Version

During the remaining of this hour, these were some of the Listener's Song Requests that were played:

Round And Round - Ratt - 1984
Oh Sherrie - Steve Perry - 1984
Old Days - Chicago - 1975
Ruby Tuesday - The Rolling Stones - 1967

10:00 P. M. EST - 11:00 P. M. EST

These were some of the oldies played during this hour:

Manic Monday - The Bangles - 1986
Heart Hotels - Dan Fogelberg - 1980
Saturday Night - Bay City Rollers - 1975 - 1976

The Time Machine segment presented 6 songs and covered some of the news headlines on February 25, 1977. The sixth song in this segment played was the #1 song on this date, " Torn Between 2 Lovers " by Mary MacGregor.

Next Week's Time Machine will feature March 4, 1983.

Have a safe, beautiful and Blessed day and weekend in Him.

S - M - I - L - E !!!

Take Care!

God Bless You All!
