Subject: Wednesday February 18, 2009 Top 40 Classics Show Review - Correction!!!

Message Detail:
All,

Hi!

Hope everyone is doing well.

This is a short review of the Wednesday February 18, 2009 Top 40 Classics - The Classic 45's You Grew Up With Show hosted by Dr. Johnny P. LoveTrain.

The show usually is presented from 8:00 P. M. EST - 11:00 P. M. EST but because WBUL (1620 A. M.) broadcasted a USF (University Southern Florida) men's basketball game, last evening's show began at 10:00 P. M. EST.

This show features oldies music that ranges from the 1950's through the early 1990's.

Great Show!

10:00 P. M. EST - 11:00 P. M. EST

Olivia Newton - John and Andy Gibb started the show with a 4 play (2 songs by each).

The 3 Of A Kind feature was also presented.

The main idea of this feature is that listener tries to figure out how each of the 3 songs played are related to each other.

The first listener to E - Mail Dr. Johnny with the correct answer, will get a " Shout - Out " on the air!

The songs played were:

Last Dance - Donna Summer - 1978
Love Theme From " A Star Is Born " (Evergreen) - Barbra Streisand - 1976 - 1977
Theme From " Shaft " - Isaac Hayes - 1971 - 1972

The answer of how these 3 songs are connected with each other is:

All were Academy Award songs of the 1970's.

11:00 P. M. EST - 12:00 A. M. EST

This hour started with his Original / Remake feature and played the song, " Rock On " by both

Original Version: David Essex - 1973 - 1974
Remake Version: Michael Damian - 1989

During the remaining of this hour, any Listeners Song Requests which were submitted were played.

12:00 A. M. EST - 1:00 A. M. EST

These were some of the oldies played during this hour:

The Wreck Of The Edmund Fitzgerald - Gordon Lightfoot - 1976 - 1977
My Cherie Amour - Stevie Wonder - 1969
I'd Really Love To See You Tonight - England Dan And John Ford Coley - 1976

The Time Machine feature presented 5 songs and covered some of the news headlines on February 18, 1987.

Next Week's Time Machine will feature February 25, 1977.

Have a safe, beautiful and Blessed day and weekend in Him.

S - M - I - L - E !!!

Take Care!

God Bless You All!

Paul Carter Jr.
