Subject: Three for #1 Bob

Message Detail:
... oh, and I'd read what the stereo experts say, about groups, such as The Kinks. They'd claim Ray Davies would never release The Kinks material, in Stereo. Ray, like Dave Clark, appears to have a hold on master/session recordings - businessmen. There was talk of Dave Clark releasing The Dave Clark 5 material, in Stereo. However, with numerous bootleg CDs, I believe he waited a bit too late - the same with Cameo - Parkway Records recordings. While I never thought in my entire life, I'd hear some of these cherished tunes, in stereo. Life is good! My guess, The Yardbirds material will eventually be released in stereo, if it hasn't already been. There were hints of this particular song, possibly being recorded on a multi-track recorder, with tiny, isolated, tambourine, in the Mono version. I have to admire the chorus, vocal overdubs, slowly building, for a dynamic ending. Never even hit me, in Mono, like it did, here. Clever!...

Keep Rockin', Robert, err, Bob! :-)

Best,
John
p.s. Just met a Phil Brown who once (CBS) engineered on Chase' "Get It On". He said "4 trumpets, what a headache."
