Those young, punk, Rock & Roll groups thought they had it all over Adult music, but along comes Lawrence (along with professional Harpsichord player, Frank Scott) and severely knocks them ALL off the record charts with his #1 Hit! Those punk kids eventually phased out this Adult music, with the help of Payola, with their fancy Rock & Roll, only to watch is too be phased out by Bubblegum, Disco and Rap music!

"At the time, Mr. Welk was the oldest performer to have a #1 hit. But, just three years later, Louis Armstrong hit #1 with his "Hello, Dolly"
(early 1964) when he was 62, breaking Mr. Welk's short-lived "old" record."]

This music makes me smile! :-)
