I just read the above on MSN and was going to post here, but Bob already has it for all of us.
This is indeed sad, as Dennis had one of the great voices. What is also sad is the comment by John Bauman about his work with Dennis to retain the group name. Although it does not go into detail, I assume that someone in the group in the past somehow got ahold of the name. This happens all too often. Recently Jay Black had to go to court to be able to sing his own songs, as several of the original Americans got this new Jay sound alike lead singer and tried to prevent the real "Jay" from singing his own hit songs.Bill
