I flew to Baltimore last Thursday afternoon realizing that I had until Monday the 24th to match an offer by another broadcasting company to buy the station I'm leasing...or I no longer had the station.

At the time, efforts to find the financing had failed. Many were interested but the economy dampened their enthusiasm.

Even so, I had a peace about it and was fine with it either way.

Craigs List is a great place to sell furniture when you're divesting a household.

Long story short...

My friend and his wife stunned me when I got a call from them on Friday night asking me to come and pick up a very sizable check.

I then called Mr. Gale with the news that I would be exercising my option.
