Early Buddy Holly has expired in Europe, so that you now get weird stuff (bootlegs etc) included alongside legitimate stuff, on European CDs. As a result, Eruope is producing Buddy Holly stuff which has never been (legally) available in the US. The same applies to Elvis. You're right about James Brown. Buddy Holly fans were lucky in that Norman Petty was a meticulous hoarder who kept everything. |
