Yea, sounds like you know this area very well. I've lived several places in my days, but I always seem to gravitate to places close to the ocean, or at least some area that has coastline nearby. I lived out in the Midwest for a while, and while I would say that you won't find friendlier people than those in the Midwest, I quickly tired of looking at cornfields in the summer and mountains of snow in the Winter. Plus you get the worse of both worlds there, hot and humid in the summer with a tornado or two thrown in for good measure, and bone chilling cold in the Winter. I do like the 4 seasons that you get there, as opposed to the two that you get in the Deep South...HOT and...So hot that even the mosquito's refuse to venture out.
