Yes, sir! I used to cherish my Mercury LP of Lesley's (early) greatest hits, it sounded so good!

Yeah, don't have my CD book at hand, but, yes, after her songs began to fail on the charts, Bob Crewe was assigned as her producer. Think he was a house producer.

Take Maurice White, who was a Chess Records drummer, and later formed Earth Wind & Fire. Loved the sound quality of their (EW&F) recordings. Maurice, I think, was the producer, not some Joe that's "assigned" to "produce". Same with Barry White. Good sound and made sure it got published. Always felt the recordings of the younger generation, R&R, Soul, etc., was a far cry from what the adults received! I listened to Louis Prima CD, I think '57-'58 recordings, and my ears said "WOW!".

I like your picks of Lesley's songs; mine, too!
Didn't know about her song writing! Could tell she came from a wealthy family, just from the photos in the CD book!
