The songs Gary did perform as a musician, is "She's Just My Style" (possible), "Save Your Heart For Me", maybe others.
I gather Gary's downfall was due to his father, Jerry.
I used to watch the groups on TV to determine who were good. The Allman Brothers were pretty good, live, for example.
After watching a PBS special, I thought the Folk groups were the best. One or more of them sounded the same as the record, 40+ years later!
