Message Detail:
Here in Central Indiana, the powers that be at a former oldies station decided one day to switch to at that time the new Jack format. Now this station was rated top 5 in the Indy market. You wonder, why change? The funny part is that the Jack format was a "play whatever we want with no DJs" format. That lasted maybe one year. Their ratings went down the tube. Now this station is like most others that play the 21st century form of oldies. Nothing older than the 1970's, with even some 1990's thrown in!
But try to find a station that still plays the 50's and early 60's? No way. When I want to listen to oldies away from this site, I turn on the television to one of the digital music channels that only plays 50's and early 60's.
