Joe, your sentiments match mine closely. I still think Gene Kelly was the premier dancer of all time.

As for television, I detest it. Nothing on that thing worth watching. And that's a shame because it could be the greatest medium ever to deliver both education and entertainment.

Movies... about the same as television. Poorly written scripts that don't even develop a plot and most have no proper ending or a very unsatisfactory ending.

I still enjoy watching an old movie that tells a good story and develops interesting characters protrayed by excellent actors. John Wayne was not a great actor but it was always a pleasure to catch one of his flicks.

One of my favorite movies of all time is To Kill A Mockingbird. That may be because I met and got to know both Mary Badham and Philip Alford, the two young stars
of the film. They didn't fake the southern dialect, thay came with in built-in. The movie tells a story all the way through as good movie should.
