Another interesting piece of trivia:
Before " Strawberry Letter 23 " by The Brothers Johnson Strawberry - scented single, there was another group from Ohio who used the same idea of a Raspberry - scented scratch-and-sniff cover sticker on their self - titled debut album. The lead singer would leave the group in a few years and would have several Top 10 hits including one based on a classical composition. He also had another classical music based single which just missed the Top 10.

The Lead Singer: Eric Carmen
The Classical Music Composition Based Single: " All By Myself "
The Other Classical Music Based Single Which Just Missed The Top 10: " Never Gonna Fall In Love Again ".
