Dead right - The Blossoms are on both records, but I do not think that Darlene was ever a member of the Crystals. How her voice ended up on two Crystals singles is that they lived in New York and she in Los Angeles - but when Gene Pitney provided "He's A Rebel" for Vicki Carr, and Phil Spector wanted to cover it overnight, The Crystals, who had a dread of flying, refused to fly to LA, although they apparently offered to travel by train instead. Spector told them not to bother - used Darlene Love to do the song - and then issued it as The Crystals. She also did "Boy", but by then, the Crystals had arrived in LA, and from then on, recorded again as The Crystals - apart from one single, which actually featured Phil Spector's lawyer (allegedly!).
