Hey Bob, Every now and then on your shows, you mention that you spent time in the Air Force while in Inclirlik, Turkey, and while there you used to listen (or work) for the Armed Forces Radio station while there. I think you said you were in the military in the mid-70's. Anyway, I also served in the USAF, and was stationed in Keflavik, Iceland from 1984-85. And while there I used to listen to the Armed Forces Radio quite often as well, and really enjoyed their programs. And I was wondering if you ever remember listening to the Jim Puter (sp) oldies radio show, which was a half hour weekday program. It was really a great oldies program, and there's a lot of great songs that he played on that program in which I'd never heard before -- which I've used on a few of my "oh wow" playlists. I've recorded a lot of the shows on cassette, and still listen to them on occasion. By the way, how's the new hard drive coming along? Hope you're not having any problems along the way!! Will |
