Seems Commercial Radio is pushing HD Radio. They claim the sound quality exceeds Audio CD. They also toss in words like "free" and "no static", when it comes to music listening. This HD "push" seems to be most associated to CBS Broadcasting. Personally, I was quite happy with analog broadcast transmissions, both TV and Radio. What, do they think reruns of Leave It To Beaver, or those two bit reality TV shows will attract a broader audience, in Digital? Probably, the only real reason why Congress approved of the 2009 Digital TV takeover was to sell this valuable transmission spectrum, as it's expected to bring in about $10 billion, maybe more, to help reduce the federal budget deficit. I think they'd be better off auctioning the moon, on eBay! :-) Best, John
