Yes, she took Mama Cass's place when the group reformed in the early 80's. John Phillps and Denny Daughty were the two originals, and McKenzie Phillips, John's saughter, took her mom's place. I saw them in the 90's, and this was about the time John took ill. Scott McKenzie (San Francisco) took his place, and some young singer was the new Michelle/McKenzie. Spanky was in great voice. From what I remember, she was a childhood friend of Cass Elliot. Sadly, Denny passed away late last year, leaving only Michelle as the only original member left. I recently saw her hosting one of those PBS 60's specials.
