Subject: Paul Revere and the Raiders

Message Detail:
Currently I'm here with my family at the Sheraton at the beautiful Waikiki Beach in Honolulu, Hawaii. But I thought I'd let you know that just several days ago I had driven over to Jackpot, Nevada -- which is about 2 1/2 hours from Boise -- to see Paul Revere in concert. And it was really a great show! I've always wanted to see the group in concert and finally got the chance, before he gets to be too old to perform.

Paul just turned 70 years old not too long ago, and has been performing for about 50 years now. He and Mark Lindsay grew up together in Boise, and I had the chance to meet Paul and his wife about a year ago. Two of the members of his current group have been in his band for about 35 years. And the lead singer, Darren Medley, is Bill Medley's son and does an adequate job with the vocals. The group had played many of their big hits including, "Indian Reservation," "Steppin' Out," "Him or Me, What's it Gonna Be," "Just Like Me," "Great Airplane Strike," and many others, and it was a very entertaining show!!

If you want to try to catch them in concert soon, it would be a very good idea, but most of their concert dates this year are in Branson, Missouri and Las Vegas -- mostly Branson. So you'd probably have to go to one of those two places -- but they do play a few other concerts elsewhere as well. You'd have to check the Paul Revere website for concert dates.
