Hi John, The intro is in fact the same one heard when the song was played in the fall of '73. There are several versions as far as length. One goes a bit over 3:00. Another goes a bit over 4. Still another goes over 8 minutes. I played the two short versions and both have the coutndown at the start. So yes it is a common intro. Thanks...a good question. Bob
