Sounds like you got up on the wrong side of the bed, good rant though. As for me, I can appreciate many things about today's world. For instance, we have the Internet where we can listen to music from anywhere in the world. You can also get real news here as opposed to the Government sponsored version that you get from the mass media. Also, I can't complain about Direct TV. Although I don't watch many of the channels, there are at least 10-15 that I watch on a regular basis that have good programming. And yes, cell phones can be a royal pain in the a... but they allow you to stay in touch and have actually saved lives many times over.

So John, I guess it comes down to the glass half empty/half full argument. More so, it comes down to attitude.
