Cell Phones: My goodness, you get to see just how many lonesome people there are in this world. They HAVE to chat 24/7/365! Worse yet, you get to hear their conversations, in public, someones, very loud! Ignorance! Satellite Radio: I read the two major ones are talking merging! If it weren't for the car manufacturers fueling them, I think they would have been dead long ago. I read one asked for a lifetime subscription of only a mere $500!! OUCH! FFC, other that technical factors, allows Satellite Radio to have its way, but REGULATES commercial radio! FCC is weird! Cable TV: I had it, then I dropped it. Too expensive for what you get! But, boy, do they (Comcast) use their profits to advertise! I must receive at least two postal mails per week to get me to sign up. This is after they come knocking on my door or calling me at work! Go away, greedy people!! HD TV: Okay, so you can get (2) coupons to help covert your analog TV to (what man has needed all his life) Digital TV! But the sad part is, digital transmissions don't propagate as well as analog. So, be prepared to buy BIGGER rabbit ears, too! Thank you Government! Microsoft: Okay, they can't sit still an will not be happy until they occupy every square inch of earth. Now, they joined forces with Ford and their software is included in one or more car models. Great, how am I going to explain to my boss I couldn't get in on-time because my car failed to boot!? :-) Department Stores: This world is becoming boring, because everything is the same wherever you go. No more privately owned stores that were fun to visit. You go to a drug store (they multiply like rabbits!) and they have clothing, (frozen)food, etc!. It's more like a department store. Even Dunkin Donuts sells ice-cream and pizza! I like electronics as a hobby and remember the days I could find electronic parts at several stores. Not today! Forced to buy online! Radio Shack is now more like a home entertainment store! I feel better now since I vented! :-) Best, |
