Message Detail:
I like it. Sequenced well, original material in using an interesting analogy, and you saved the 'hook' for the very end.

Which makes me think of the following...

Couple of weeks ago...I was filling in as a co-anchor on a midday newscast on the local station I work for here in Seattle.

Before going to the commercial break, I 'teased' (promoted) a feature listed for after the break...but was informed during the commercials that we would not be having that feature today.

Therefore...I looked at the story that I did have coming up...and said when I resumed out of the spots...."If you were waiting for the John Carlson Commentary, I apologize because we will not be having it today...but you could be in Prince Charles' shoes. He's waited the better part of 60 years just to ascend to the throne of England! Here's more from ABC's Louise Schiavone'...

When I got off the air, our Consumer Reporter Herb Weisbaum brought up the comment. Herb works for us AND for Channel 4 News here in Seattle. More importantly...he's from Philly, where he used to drive the 56 WFIL 'Prize Patrol' as a teenager.

He said, 'I didn't know where you were going with the comment, but when you threw in the hook at the end, I said...Jim O'Brien would have been proud'.

Since you and I both know who Jim is...that made my day indeed.

Thanks,

Bob
