Alan,

I agree with your definition of Northern Soul. I stand by my idea, thinking it originated in the Northern hemisphere.

One UK person called those clubs, "Soul Clubs". This is when I discovered Johnny Johnson & The Bandwagon were still admired, up until the early '80's, in the UK!

I see the US record companies have set up shop in the UK, especially for profit with Soul music!
