Subject: RE: Thanks For Pointing Them Out

Ralph brings up a point that you may feel is interesting...but is actually quite erroneous. God says in His Word that He IS perfect.

The perfect, sinless God who took the form of a man, was born of a virgin, lived, and died on the cross to pay for our sins is the only one who CAN deliver us because He IS perfect.

Christ who knew NO sin...became sin for us...so that we may have a way to escape the penalty of our sin.

Read..."God made Him who knew no sin to become sin for us, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him." (2 Corinthians 5 verse 21 )

Again folks who rebel against the call of Christ look for ways to disprove His claims and usually in the end reason through and arrive at some type of 'theory' which takes away that momentary twinge of fear or discomfort from the nagging thought of 'What if the bible IS right?'.

We have Jerry who comes on here with over a dozen scriptures that he feels show contradictions in the bible. All were taken out of context. All were taken from different periods or dispensations of God's relationship to man during those times...primarily with the Jewish people.

Now...let me clue you in on something here.

God knew from the time He created man that man would fall. God...in His sovereign way (meaning He can do what He wants as long as it is not against His nature) has always MADE a way for man to escape His sinfulness...and ALWAYS according to His Will and His timing.

At first...the Jews were chosen as a people and received their law from Him. The Jews regularly related to God through a cycle of defiance (breaking His commandments), dire straits (being persecuted, attacked, or worse), and deliverance (God rescued them).

God said He would bring the Messiah through His people who would be a 'once for all' sacrifice...instead of the regular sacrifices and the law given to the Jews for forgiveness of sins as they were commanded to do in the Penteteuch (first books of the bible, largely Leviticus).

42 generations of Jews later...He brought it to pass.

The Messiah has come. His name is Y'Shua...or Jesus.

He is also known as Emmanuel...which means God With Us.

Now the point...

God allowed man to exercise his will (as he does today)...knowing all the while that in the end...His SUPREME Will is going to be the final arbiter.

Again...anyone can try to disprove the bible 'til the cows come home. People tried in the bible to do it, and they are still doing it today.

All to no avail.

He loves us all with an everlasting love.

Instead of trying in vain to disprove Him...why not seek Him?

Bob
