Genesis 6:67 states that 'God repented that he made man.' But various places throughout the Bible state that, "His way is perfect," and "I am the Lord, I change not." "The Lord is the Rock, his way is perfect." and 'God repents of nothing he has ever done,now does, or ever will do."

Genesis 7:4 states, "...so God flooded the earth to destroy every living substance." But there's places in the Bible that state, "God is love," "saith the Lord, I will put my laws in their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; and their sins and iniquities will I remember no more." And, "thou, O lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious longsuffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth."

Genesis 2:21 says that Adam and Eve were the first humans. But later, in chapter 4 it states that 'Cain (marked so none should kill him) went to the land of Nod to get a wife.'

And Romans 5:12 says 'We are all born sinners.' But other parts of the Bible state that "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them." And "God saw every thing He had made and, behold, it was very good." "For sin shall not have dominion over you; for ye are not under the law but under grace." And "For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving."

Furthermore, Exodus and Leviticus state that the rule of living is an "eye for an eye and tooth for a tooth." But other parts of the Bible state, "Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good." "Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you." "Do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same." "And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise."

Deuteronomy states that the Jews are God's chosen people on this planet. But other parts of the Bible state, "But if you have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors." "And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's work." "Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons."

In the OT, Nahum, Exodus Isaiah, Deuteronomy and 1 Samuel all state that God reacts like men with wrath, jealousy, vengeance, anger and murder. Yet other parts of the Bible state that, "The Lord is slow to anger," "God is love, and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him." "Is God unrighteous who taketh vengeance? God forbid." "The riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering." "The Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth." Sounds to me like the prophets and scribes of old had concocted a God in their image, not the other way around.

Also 1 Corinthians and 1 Peter both state that women are not equal to men, and are to be subject to men. Yet other parts of the Bible state that, "so God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them." "For as the woman is of the man, even so is the man also by the woman, but all things of God." "Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself, andt he wife see that she reverence her husband." "There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male not female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus."

Bob, I have much, much other information here to prove the bible wrong, but I don't have the time to post it here as it would take forever, but you get my point. You say that just because the Urantia Book is 50 years old then it never could be 1000 times better than the Bible. But if you were the least bit open minded and a seeker of truth, then you'd take a look at the Urantia book at www.urantia.org, and find see what you think of it relative to what the Bible teaches. It is the Urantia Book that has no contradictions and no errors, not the Bible.
