Hi MC Bob, (hope you're doing well) First off, I hope you don't feel I was targeting you, just because I posted this in your forum. It's been on my mind for some time. That, for the most part, leaves web radio. EVEN if web stations don't sell shows, even if they don't ask for donations, but there is a subscription fee, there has to be some profit involved. Let's say I start a web radio station and profit like mad from it. Should I feel guilty if I didn't pay a cent for the music I was played, but used the music to profit from? This opens a whole different aspect of web radio, not involving any On Demand shows. At least you ask for a donation to gain access to various shows, while others put a price tag on each. Yesterday, the record companies supplied the material and the best radio stations won. Not so today; a whole different ballgame. A whole new set of guidelines should have been developed. I have to run.... Take care, Bob! Best, |
