If material is copyrighted, I assume that's one thing, if it isn't that's another. I've bought the same music on 33's 45's, 8 tracks, Casettes, CD's and DVDs,I've not seen any music company offer me a rebate or a discount if I returned the previous format. Artists, should be conpensated for thier music, but who really makes all the profit, the huge mega-conglomerates, seems funny that Elvis makes more oney dead than alive? The Keyword is "FAIRNESS" because the internet is the new way to aquire music does not mean it should be "TAXED & ROYALTIED" to death. IMHO, its just a way for these companies to reap huge profits at the expense of the public at large. As a colector of Old Time Radio, there are litterally 100's if not 1000's of people selling programs that are in the Public Domain, is this wrong? No, its not, if you don't want to spend the time searching the net to find these programs etc., its a convinence you can pay for. |
