It seems to me that music is nothing more than a reflection of society. The 50's music was of a different age, a more innocent and obviously naive period. The 60's musically was probably the most innovative as far as quality, and variety, and of course the Beatles, and the British Invasion was the main impetus behind that. The 70's produced Disco which had a powerful but short run. Nothing much has happened musically since then. Don't get me wrong, there has been good music, and trends but nothing that has had the impact of the 60's music. I sometimes reflect if there will be a period musically that will have the impact that the 60's did.
