From my site: "The Tra La La Song (One Banana, Two Banana)" - Theme Song (1968?) - The Banana Splits. Yes, I watched their (live character) televised show and recall it airing on Saturday mornings, after reruns of The Monkees' Show. Oddly, the father wrote this song while his sons were the actors. The music featured recognizable names, such as Gene Pitney, Al Kooper and Barry White. (See below for an alternate version)..." While Rhino Records offers this song, I think theirs is Monophonic. From a limited (1995) 1000 pressings CD (see link below)... Love the song!!! :-) Best, |
