Disky's sound quality, due to poor tape archiving of EMI and/or Capitol, here in the States, is sometimes superior to CDs sold here in the US! Johnny Rivers rings a bell. My guess, due to this negligence, is probably why Beatles tapes were "borrowed" to make bootleg CDs in the late '80's. Ray Stevens original 45s, like "Guitarzan" and "Along Came Jones", I'm told did not have the laughter and applause, as you'll find on most all CDs and LPs! I even had one or both the Barnaby(?) 45s, but I can't recall. One of those Mono vs Stereo issues, I guess. Yes, ACE (UK) is great! Trevor is "Cool". You know, I bought a secondhand "Laurie Records" CD of theirs and it had CD rot. They sent a new pressing, all the way from the UK! However, like most, sometimes vinyl comes in handy for source material. I don't mind that, as long as the tell me. I've found Rhino, Varese Sarabande, Collectables, and others "ripping" from vinyl. Another label is RPM Records (UK). They do some nice stuff! That's Mark's company :-) I'll admit, I don't know much about music groups, but I'll fill your ear what I know about Record/CD companies! :-) Thanks for the Mr. Vee info! Take care! Best,
