Back in the late 50's, a UK star Cliff Richard was backed by a group he called The Drifters.

However, when EMI Records saw the name problem, they changed the band's name to The Shadows.

The following year, when The (real) Drifters hit with "Save The Last Dance For Me", a local DJ announced it as "a first from the Drifters - the band who originally backed Cliff before he dumped them for the Shadows - and when you hear this record, you'll realise why he dumped them!".

God love him - he survived on radio well into the 1980's!
